Hi everyone.
First, I don’t know if this should belong in the apologetic section, or somewhere else.
Second, I’m sure this subject has been posted to death, but I always like to see what others say. 😃

So, what is your favorite quote from a saint? It can be of all time, at the moment, or in the past. What is a quote that particularly speaks to you?

I just read this one, and it really struck me.

"If angels could be jealous of men, they would be so for one reason: Holy Communion." - Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe

“Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.” -St. Francis of Assisi

"Gabriel was rapt in amazement as he beheld your virginity and the splendor of your purity, and he cried out “by what name shall I call you? I am bewildered, I am lost! I shall greet you as I was commanded: Rejoice, O woman full of grace!”-Attributed to St. Romanos the Melodist

“While you are proclaiming peace with your lips, be careful to have it even more fully in your heart.” Francis of Assisi

I have used a similar quote on a web page I’ve designed for Eucharistic Adoration. It is, **“If the Angels could envy, they would envy us for Holy Communion”. ** ~St. Pius X. I believe St. Faustina said something very similar as well. I guess great minds really do think alike!

But my favorite quote by my favorite saint is my signature (below). I have a great devotion to Padre Pio and many of his quotes are profound, but this one about the Mass has really struck me! I spent so many years not appreciating the Mass for what it truly is. Padre Pio’s quote is like a huge smack in my cavalier face!!
