Here are some of mine in no particular order:
  1. O Come, All Ye Faithful
  2. Joy to the World
  3. Angels We Have Heard on High
  4. Angels, From the Realms of Glory
  5. It Came Upon the Midnight Clear
  6. The Snow Lay on the Ground
  7. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
  8. Silent Night
  9. O Holy Night
  10. We Three Kings
  11. The First Noel
  12. What Star is This
  13. Good Christian Friends, Rejoice
Well, that’s practically all of them. What are your favorites? I was going to make this as a poll, but there are just so many that people would find it too hard to choose the most favorite. “Angels We Have Heard on High” is still a favorite of mine even though I may not be able to hold out the “Gloria”'s in the refrain, and “Silent Night” is still a favorite even though when we get to the E flat and then jump from a G to a high D, I sound horrible.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I love “Angels We Have Heard on High” but my absolute favorite hands down is “O Come O Come Emmanuel”!👍

O Holy Night would be my favorite. O Come O Come Emmanuel would be a close second.

I love What Child Is This, as well as O Holy Night. I guess Silent Night would be up there as well 😃

That’s my favourite too. Beautiful, ancient music, and strong, biblical words, but it is, strictly speaking, an Advent hymn, not a Christmas carol. (I think…) 🙂

For Christmas carols, Angels We Have Heard on High is my favourite.

My absolute favorite is “O Holy Night” but in the original French “Minuit, Chrétiens!”. It’s what I grew up with, so holds a special place in my heart. The same goes for “Angels We Have Heard on High” which I’ve always sung as “Les Anges dans nos campagnes”.

The third one is another French Carol “Dans le silence de la nuit”. It was sung at the first two Midnight Masses that I attended as a pre-teen but then the choir director changed and I didn’t hear it again for decades. One day I bought my children a kids’ Christmas album and, lo and behold, there it was being sung by puppets. I’ve since found a couple of gorgeous versions that I’ve got on my iPod.

In English, I’d say
Adeste Fideles 😃
Hark! The Herald Angel Sing
Huron Carol
The First Noël
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel is, hands down, my favorite Advent Carol – I’d be happy if we sang it on all Sundays in Advent and at more than one place during Mass. Yeah, it could be the only hymn sung 4 times during each Mass. That’s how much I like it.😃

Can’t pick one favourite, too many good ones.

Lo, How A Rose E’er Blooming
Of The Father’s Love Begotten
Angels We Have Heard On High
Adeste Fideles
Once In Royal David’s City
Hark The Herald Angels Sing
Puer Natus In Bethlehem

Those are at the top of my list, but I love the others too…

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel is my clear Advent favorite. As for Christmas, my overall favorite is O Come, All Ye Faithful. That said, the following line from O Little Town of Bethlehem always moves me in a wonderful way:

The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight

Merry Christmas, all.

Amen! :clapping:

That line always melts me too! 😃 Almost enough to make it my favourite hymn!

I remember last Christmas, before we ate to a Christmas Restaurants, me and my family watched a Christmas Concert a benefit concert for the charity. The choir was so fabulous, my favorite Christmas song that they sing is the Hark! The Herald Angels Sing they really have a blessed voice and I’m so proud that I watched that concert, I enjoy the concert and also I contribute for the charity.
