I watch the Munsters, a little bit of the news, and the food network . Most of the rest to me is not worth wasting time on. The hallmark channel does have some decent older shows though. They also have Mass from the U. of Notre Dame on sun. I think it starts at 11 am edt.

I’ll cast my vote for Monk. I don’t watch much TV, but I try not to miss an episode.

I used to watch History Undercover of the History Channel, but I haven’t seen the program in a while, so I’ll be careful when I recommend it.

I think my favorite right now is the Chris Kirk Knife Show. It is on Monday and Friday evenings on an obscure shopping channel (221 on Dish Network).

The point of the show is to sell collectable knives, but it is filled with talk about the Lord, prayer, going to church, etc. The host, Chris Kirk, is a redneck Christian (he calls himself a redneck, so it’s OK). He’s funny, in a redneck way, and talks a lot about his faith. He’s a Baptist or something, but I’ve never heard him badmouth Catholics. He even speaks respectfully of Jews.

The show starts with a monolgue of sorts. Sometimes it’s a rant against terrorists. Last night, he told about how he had felt particularly blessed by God that day. He encouraged everyone to be in tune with and look for all the ways the Lord has blessed them.

Customers write in with stories about what is going on in their lives. Chris puts some of the letters in his pocket so that he can pray for them later.

It’s a very unusual show, but very positive and uplifting.

I love medical and police shows, so my list is ER, all of the Law and Orders, CSI, Cold Case, Monk. But I also like Everbody loves Raymond and 21/2 men. Fortunately, I do not have time to sit and watch a lot of tv, so I get to see these show occasionally.

We do not have cable due to some of the commericals I saw on cable when my daughter was two years old. She is now 7 and for about 2 years, we didn’t even get network tv.

Monk
Joan of Arcadia
Everyone loves Raymond
Weather Channel

I HATE the “reality” shows

I watch the History Channel. Otherwise my favorites are:

Life With Bonnie
CSI

Since I do not watch a connected TV (cable, antenna, etc)
But I have to go with my memory.

Not in any particular order:
-Star Trek (ALL programs, but only saw year one of Enterprise).
-Quantum Leap
-Any 1960’s sit-com especially Green Acres, Munsters, Addams Family, Mr. Ed, Hogan’s Heroes).
-Speed Racer
-Simpsons-
-Futureramma
And CARTOONS!

Go with God!

I never watch any of those, either. :nope:

Monk is great and the most recent episope (with the chimp) is hysterically funny.

Our favorite by far is “Red Green”. It’s a Canadian show that our local PBS station airs. In 2nd place is “Everybody Loves Raymond”.

I enjoy watching the telecourses on the local education chanel. I have seen every episode of the The Chinese at least twice. I also like one or two polictical or news type things from time to time, like Meet the Press so I can see an interview of someone interesting or of the Jim Leher news hour or the BBC news. I would be sad if stuff like this were canceled. I know the shows could be better, but they have actual value.

Watching TV is pissing your life away.
It is my understanding that the somewhat vulgar expression is a British euphemism for getting wasted at the pub

When I used to watch TV I watched (on purpose, not the shows that I hated that are on TV)

Simpsons
Malcom in the Middle
Joan of Arcadia
Seventh Heaven…
