… and Piano of course… another of Nyman’s

Holly Hunter’s one of my favourite actresses - though sometimes her choice of film leaves something to be desired…

Karen1996:
Sometimes I listen to soundtracks more than anything else.

These are some of my favorites:

Forrest Gump
Return to Me
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Somewhere in Time
The Big Chill (the album is the best part of the movie)
Mona Lisa Smile (I love Seal’s rendition of Mona Lisa Smile)
Cold Mountain
Armeggedon

I want to buy O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Peggy Sue Got Married.

I would love to hear your recommendations or favorites…

God bless,
Karen
Karen - Return to Me. Great movie! Although I have heard that soundtrack more times than I can count. My older son who is 2 1/2 loves the song “What if I Loved You”. When he was younger, he’d scream and cry unless we played this song over and over and over (and over) again in the car. Fortunately, it’s a great song! 😉

I really like the soundtrack to Apollo 13.

My favorite right now is the Finding Neverland soundtrack.

Do the tracks to rides count? My kids love to listen to the whole 15 minutes of Disneylands Pirates ride over and over again.

For lyric music, I like the cd for Garden State.

My favorites:
“O Brother Where Art Thou”
“Urban Cowboy”
I’ve always wanted the soundtrack to “The Color Purple” but have never found it.

**Anne Carmel, **thank you very much!
I wonder why it took 20 years?

In addition to the list that has been comprised - I would add the Trainspotting soundtrack.

I love orchestral soundtracks, such as:

John Barry (You Only Live Twice and The Living Daylights, which I’m listening to right now)
Jerry Goldsmith (most anything he ever did, especially Papillon and Rambo)
John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Superman)
Miklos Rozsa (Ben-Hur, King of Kings, Lust For Life)

Lord of the Rings
Dirty Dancing
Top Gun
Chicago
Shrek
Forrest Gump
What Women Really Want
Footloose
Grease
Lion King
2001
Stand by Me

Favorite soundtracks; as I viewed all the replies, the music was there, this is great! I actually liked all that were mentioned,. and add, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and ‘Titanic’.

There’s one movie, I wish they would release the soundtrack of: the original Where the Red Fern Grows. They had a few great Andy Williams songs in the movie. If anyone knows which album of his they may appear on, please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks and God bless!
Karen

I like own and like many of the soundtracks already listed but would like to add the
