I’m mostly a Nintendo fanboy for consoles but play PC and iPod Touch games too ;). My favorite game of all time is Doom. Yes, the classic, excessively violent, school-massacre causing Doom of 1993 :p. My favorite games for other consoles I have/had:
  • Wii: New Super Mario Bros Wii
  • Gamecube: Tie between Metroid Prime and Pikmin 2
  • DS: Dragon Quest 9
As you can guess I’m a major nerd, but, hey, it runs in the family 🤓.

Yay for school massacre causing games. 😃

Doom is awesome.

I’m mostly a J-RPG otaku so I’m embarrassed to say that most of my faves are Japanese in origin. :o

Pokemon - Played most of the pre-DS versions
Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force games - Cuz real cards are bank-breaking
Kingdom Hearts I-II - Yes I actually like the idea of fusing happy Disney movies with emo Final Fantasy-style characters
seriesTales of - I’ve only played Tales of the Abyss, sadly… I hear Symphonia’s still the best of them
fighting gamesNaruto - Me + Gaara = Your sand-covered remains ngehehehe…
Devil May Cry 4 - Combos, guns, and swords! Yum! 8D
Ragnarok Online - It’s actually a Korean MMORPG with Japanese anime style characters… and popular amongst Filipinos >>;;
Jeanne D’Arc - I’m not a huge fan of strategy games but I like the story of this one… that and it features the only saint that could look cool outside of Religion/Spirituality (even though its at the cost of all historical accuracy >
<;; )
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - Though it lacks the variety and customization of one, the story is way better.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite - The Japanese counterpart of WoW. Hopelessly addicting yet intense gameplay during boss fights (which pretty much consist most of your time playing)
fighting gamesTouhou - A guilty pleasure of mine. Simple controls, a spell-card system, and the roster consists entirely of little, cute magical girls… okay, you can stop staring at me now. >_<;;

I have a fair number of Western faves as well.

Fable - Not as big as I it first presented itself to me but it was still fun. I wish I could play Fable II on my PC though…
Dante’s Inferno - I get to travel all throughout the nine circles of hell while slicing up Satan and his minions with one of the most epic scythes ever imagined… YAY!! >XD
Diablo - Necro FTW!!! XP (Once I get Diablo II though, it’ll be Wizard FTW!!! GYAAAHAHAHAHA!!! blows everything up>8D)
Plants VS Zombies - More addicting than it looks. Trust me.
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 - In either case, I still list Tanks and Witches as the ones I hate the most. (hears Witch crying Oh great… -_-;; ground starts shaking OH GREAT!!! DX)

Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force games - Cuz real cards are bank-breaking
Is the online scene heavily populated? I’d love to get back into Yu-gi-oh but;
  1. It falls under the category of “Crack is Cheaper”.
  2. The place where tournies conflict with my schedule.
I’d like to add Dragon Quest IX to my list. A classic Dragon Quest game with some Final Fantasy V thrown in.

I hear ya bout #1 (still getting around to budget myself) but I guess I’m luckier in terms of #2. I know a place that holds small tournies and they actually stick to the Original Card only policy.

I’ve heard great things about the XBLA version of Yugioh. The problem; not released in North America yet. They have it in Japan, including DLC that has extra cards (sort of like Booster Packs, but better). I’d buy a DS version but I’m worried there would be zero activity online with the multiplayer. That and I’d have to lower my router’s security setting to WEP 😦

Games coming up I’m looking forward to;
  • Smackdown vs Raw 2011.
  • Halo Reach.

Probably shows my age, but most of my favorite games were genuine arcade games…

Gorf
Arkanoid
Galaga
Eye of the Beholder series of PC games
Pitfall (original Atari version)
lol can’t beat the classics, huh?

The Mario games bring back some serious nostalgia. Nintendo released a new side scrolling Mario game for the Wii about a year ago which was a blast. Also the *Call of Duty *franchise is excellent. I think CoD 2 is the best. That Russian campaign is something.

Red Dead Redemption was pretty good. I had always wanted a good western themed game.

But right now *NCAA Football *is getting most of my game playing time (which isn’t a lot now a days). Bringing back the University of Washington to the level it belongs; National Championships 👍

God bless

All Metal Gear Solid, All Splinter Cell, All Rainbow Six, All Ghost Recon, Hawx, Endwar, Bourne Conspiracy, Quantum of Solace… You get the drift…

Plus fighting games… Street Fighter series, Tekken series, KOF series, VF series, UFC, Fight Night.

Plus FIFA.

Listing things I love. Quite possibly my favorite kind of post. And it’s about video games. Wicked awesome. I’ll keep it to three-four so i don’t have a bogged down list.

Atari 2600 - Demon Attack, River Raid, Frogger
NES - Mega Man 2, The Legend of Zelda, Super Dodgeball, Blaster Master
Sega Genesis - Sonic the Hedgehog, Spider-Man, Wiz n Liz, Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Sega Game Gear - Road Rash, Columns
SNES - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Final Fantasy III
Game Boy - Tetris, Super Mario Land, Qix
Sega CD - Robo Aleste, Terminator, Sewer Shark (“Something down there sucked their brains out!” LOL this is the most entertaining FMV game, which isn’t too much of a compliment. And one of the voices reminds me of Pat Buttral, a big thumbs up)
Sega Saturn - Nights, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop
Playstation - Any of the Namco Classics: first time I ever played these games arcade quality in my own home, Medal of Honor, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
N64 - Goldeneye 007 (best game on this list), Super Mario 64, Starfox 64
Dreamcast - Marvel vs. Capcom, Crazy Taxi
Gamecube - Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, P.N.03, Madden 2004
X-Box - Grabbed by the Ghoulies, FIFA 05, NFL 2K5
Wii - too early to tell so far, but my faves have been FIFA 09, Wii Sports, The Conduit and Super Mario Galaxy 2
Arcades - Ms. Pacman (speedup hack only), Galaga, Bomberman (Neo Geo version), Final Fight, and NBA Jam.

Looking at my list, there’s a ton of first-party content. Not sure what that says about me. Perhaps I need to focus harder on titles that aren’t so obvious in the future. Will give me a fun thing to collect in the future. Honorable mention goes to Balloon Fight (NES)

Star Wars Battlefront 2 PC
Star Wars Republic Commando PC
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic PC
Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition PC
HALO!!!

(yeah, yeah. nerd and proud of it!)

Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV
Fallout 3
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
The Sims (all)
Plants vs. Zombies
Portal
Unreal Tournament
Mushroom Wars
Katamari (all)

I like a lot of different games, it all just depends on my current mood. I did just “beat” Fallout 3, and felt rather disappointed though.

  • Link: The Faces of Evil
  • Hotel Mario
Mah boi!

Just kidding!

I really like all the mario games (except hotel mario)

I absolutely love the Square Enix games. Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts all the way. (im just about obsessed with KH) But at the same time doesn’t anybody think these games are kind of bad? For the moment I’m torn between playing them and getting rid of them. The constant use of magic in them isn’t it satanic? And a few of them have kinda immodest characters. I really hope someone can help me with this cuz I love the games but don’t want to play them if they are considered satanic or “bad”.
Thanks for any help or advice you can give!

Absolutely not! You think a real life Wiccan can cast Blizzaga? The fictional magic in both the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts multiverses are a far cry for the occult joke that is “real” magic. You don’t see the characters offering blood or dancing in silly circles to cast now do you? Instead, all they need to do is aim, concentrate and…

Heartless suddenly pops out

Seriously though, play away! You’re a Catholic, not a fundamentalist. I’m sure you’d consider yourself sane enough to tell fantasy from reality. 👍

As far as the immodest clothes go, I personally find myself too focused on the story (and the combat :whacky:) to really ogle.

Yosha! A fellow Square-Enix fan! 8D I too am I die-hard fan of the Kingdom Hearts series. It has been my most favorite game series of all time. I guess that’s what you get when you grew up appreciating classic Disney movies but then became an RPG junkie during your teens and beyond. I’ve played KH1, Chain of Memories, KH2, and I’m now currently enjoying Birth by Sleep. 😃

Random question though. If you got flung off to different Disney-themed worlds, where would you end up in? 😉

Sorry, Link, I can’t give credit. Come back when you’re a little… mmm… richer!

Most turn based strategy games, like Civilization.
SOME real time strategies like the Total War series.
Pretty much any Bethesda roleplaying game.
Just about any first party Nintendo game.
Little Big Planet
Burnout Paradise
Plants vs. Zombies
