ive already many parts of JON and SOTL (i hope you know the abbreviation) going to read it all very soon

and I got St Paul coming in 2 of his 4 books on the church fathers, one on mary and one called introduction to Christianity i plan to buy more later, one that includes politics, evolution and creation and maybe some of the apostles, it may be a while i don’t want to spend to much money on this stuff.

Favourite things about His Holiness? I could actually go on until my fingers cramp up from battering my keyboard in hopes to imprinting love for him on everyone by sheer force of will :D!

One of the reasons, is that I truly feel that he is a rock. The world is like a maelstrom right now, a raging tempest. And here we have His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, a quiet little man, in the middle of it all, unbowed, unbroken, unbent, forever faithful to God and Holy Mother Church.

The enemies of God are ever on the offensive, with His Holiness their target, yet he shrugs them off and continues marching forward in the front lines for Christ. Honestly, the man must have his eyes turned to Heaven 24/7 because he doesn’t actually seem to notice all those baying for his blood :p! I believe him to be a holy man, a saint amongst us, trying to guide Holy Mother Church and the Catholic faithful back to their roots, I feel he is trying to lead society back to a healthy direction.

But I also feel he knows that he wont be the one to complete this momentous task. To be crude, he is but a stepping stone. But he knows this. And he is determined to lay a solid foundation to be built upon.

There is also he fact that he is a scholar at heart, with a great love of books. And I just love books :D! And we wont even get started on his taste for beer !

Nice idea for a thread! Like others, I love his humility, his writings, his love for music, his tendency towards tradition, and Summorum Pontificum.

And his love for cats 😃

He’s rebuilding the Church by all the examples listed already. Plus, there is a Vatican visitation of the women’s religious orders suspected of bad behaviour. I hope he cleans up the men’s next.

I truly believe God will give him time do do so.

I love the Pope!!
He’s a very learned man, authoring wonderful books.
His kind gentle demeanor.
His fluency with languages. My family spent Easter at the Vatican this year and the fluency which he went through eight languages followed by the Lord’s prayer in Latin was amazing.
Following John Paul II would be very difficult but Pope Benedict does an amazing job.

The Pope’s da Man!!👍

new media is the place to be 👍
It especially pleases me because I started my “progressive” IT career back in 1969 (strangely enough) when the internet was officially born. Never dreamed back then what a new world that was going to be.
