Just talked about what I wanted to do with my life with my mom… Didn’t go well at all. I said I wanted to help people and the first thing she said was, “I hope you don’t want to be a priest.” When later questioning her about why she immediately said priest, she said “Well, you said you might not wanted to get married.” It was a hint, and she caught on instantly. Another disappointing reply was when she said, “You’d also have to be around molesters and scummy people.” I can’t believe my own mother would say that… I don’t know what I’m going to do now…

The important issue hear is to not pay any attention to her about this. It’s God’s will, not her own. She needs to accept that.
