I just wanted to encourage everyone to pray for our Coptic Orthodox brothers and sisters today, as their patriarchal see of Alexandria was founded by St. Mark.
May God grant them peace in their homeland of Egypt. May he strengthen them to be faithful witnesses of Christ to the majority Muslim population around them. May dialogue continue and increase between them and the Catholic Church, and may we one day achieve full unity with one another. Amen.
