Lisa44,
I understand your frustration, but have no fear. Right now you probably have more knowledge of the Catholic Church than the average Catholic sitting in the pews at Mass every Sunday.

Sadly, adult education in the Church is lacking in many areas.

But, place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and allow Him to lead you to the information, He wants you to receive, as he wants you you receive it.

In time, you will not only have a vast knowledge of the faith, it will also be rich, because it will be part of your spiritual formation.

God Bless
Jim

35 years of marriage … that’s awesome . Heartfelt Congratulations Jim and Gail , many and happy returns of the day !
The 35th wedding anniversary is traditionally symbolised by jade or coral , harmony and resistence in front of difficulties of life . God bless you both !

Oops; read the date wrong…well, then - Happy-Coming-Soon-Anniversary!..

You bet we did! Some of us from our OCDS community met for Mass and then lunch together.

Of course, after what I read about what the Franciscans do on St. Francis passing, the Transitus, I was envious of them. But it wouldn’t be becoming of St. Teresa, I’m afraid.

:blessyou:

For me, the LOTH morning prayer is the Memorial of St. Teresa of Avila. I use the prayers for a Doctor of the Church.
We used the proper that was sent to the OCDS Yahoo group, which included the prayers from the Sunday of the 1st week, as it’s a solemnity for us.

:blessyou:
