Is it true that you are exempt from giving anything up on feast days in lent? I heard that but I’m not sure.

If so, where can I find a list of feast days in lent?

there is no obligation to give up anything for Lent, it is a burden we assume out of love, so consquently there is no question of an obligation pertaining or not pertaining to feast days. When asked by the pharisees why his disciples did not fast Christ observed, they do not fast while the bridegroom is present. Since thes generally refers to every Sunday, which is a “little Easter” then it is appropriate to lift disciplines at this time.

That’s what I was afraid of. 😃

Thanks for the quick reply.

Also those celebrations ranked as Solemnities. The Solemnity of St Joseph, Husband of Mary (19-Mar) always falls during Lent. The Solemnity of the Annunciation (25-Mar, but in 2007 translated to 26-Mar) often falls during Lent. It is likewise inappropriate to fast on such days.
