Dear Brothers and Sisters,

What a glorious Feast it is today! By God’s Grace, let us love Mary more today than ever! She has become less appreciated in our time and culture, but we are not “of this world” – but rather citizens with the saints in heaven.

Let us ask Jesus as we receive Holy Communion today, to share with us His Love for our Mother. Let us ask St. Joseph to intercede for us and for the whole Church that we may love Jesus through Mary as he and all the saints have learned to do, by God’s Grace. Blessed Feast Day to all!

Mary, Conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you!

In the midst of getting ready now to go to Mass and attend the first Marion feast since I was consecrated to Jesus through Mary! There’s also a Prayer for Life service (not Mass) with eucharist adoration, singing and prayer later on tonight that I am hoping to find a ride to go to as well! May everyone celebrate this joyous occasion today with glad hearts!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, we consecrate ourselves to thee this day and always. Please bring us to true union with your Divine Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and obtain for us many graces from Him, especially those of burning charity and final perseverance.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

May God bless you all! 🙂

Its sad but true about Mary’s day being underappreciated. All of the parishes around me have eliminated the afternoon Mass they used to celebrate for the feast day - not enough attendance, I guess. But this morning’s Mass had a good crowd (at 6:30 am!)

Dear FaustinaJulia,

Thanks for your reply. By God’s Grace I renewed my Consecration to Jesus through Mary, after receiving Holy Communion at Mass this morning, praying the Act of Consecration written by St. Louis De Montfort. How grateful I am to the Dominican Sister who introduced me to this form of Consecration! What a grace then, way back when I was only about 15 years old to now – each time is more beautiful than the one before, and I continue to learn more each time I read De Montfort’s little treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary

By God’s Grace may you continue to renew your consecration and open yourself to the Holy Spirit as Mary did. God desires to increase in us, as He did in Mary, His Gifts of Faith, Hope and above all Charity. May we live our consecration totally.

Dear Richard,

Thanks for your reply, and your beautiful prayer for all of us. 🙂

Dear cristofirst,

Thanks so much for your reply and for your tender heart which feels the same sadness others of us feel seeing how poorly treated our Mother is by some of her children.

It is amazing to me to see among those who claim to be Catholic so little sense of how precious a gift Mary is to us! I think it was St. John Paul II who said that when we find neglect of the Mother, it is not long after that we see neglect of the Son. It seems there is increasing disbelief in the Eucharist and neglect of Holy Mass also occurring at the same time as decreasing devotion to our Mother Mary.

Come Holy Spirit, kindle in us the Fire of Your Love! Renew in us the love of Jesus and Mary.

St. Joseph, guardian of the Church, intercede for us that we may love Jesus and Mary as you do.
