Hi!

Hopefully this is in the right place for this. Two things, 1. I’ve been attending mass by myself for a while (including a couple daily masses), but tomorrow is the first time I’ll experience a holy day… anything special I should expect? 2. Coincidentally, I have a good friend who is very interested in turning her life towards God extrahappy and will be coming to mass with me tomorrow! I’d like to print her out something to help her follow along, any links to a good .pdf file or website I could print out for her?

Hi Sarah!

that’s wonderful that you have been attending Mass! I’m a convert to the Catholic Church and I remember those days when I was first starting to visit Mass.

When there’s a feast day, the priest will probably say something about it in the homily, but unless it’s a major feast day like Easter or Christmas, I don’t think it would be too different liturgically.

Since it is a Solemnity, the priest will likely be wearing white vestments instead of the purple of Advent. Also, you may hear Marian hymns.
Here is a link to the readings for the Mass of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Perhaps you and your friend could read them together before going to Mass.
