Feast of the Sacred Heart

[Smcnic]

Hello Everyone,

This is just a wee message to remind you that tomorrow marks the Feast of the Sacred Heart, some of you may already have known that, but i just thought I’d remind you all as its something that close to my own heart.

These are the promises associated with the Feast of the Sacred Heart:

PROMISES OF THE SACRED HEART

1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state in life.
2. I will give them peace in their families.
3. I will console them in their troubles.
4. I will be their assured refuge during life, and most especially at the hour of death.
5. I will pour abundant blessings on all their undertakings.
6. Sinners shall find in my heart a source and boundless ocean of mercy.
7. Tepid souls shall become more fervent.
8. Fervent souls shall rise speedily to great perfection.
9. I will bless the homes in which the image of my Sacred Heart shall be exposed and honoured.
10. I will give priests the power to touch the most hardened hearts.
11. Persons who shall propagate this devotion shall have their names written in my heart and they shall never be effaced.
12. I promise you, in the excess of the mercy of my heart, that its all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Communion on the First Friday of every month for nine consecutive months, the
grace of final repentance, and they shall not die under my displeasure, not without receiving their sacraments, and that my heart shall be their secure refuge at the last hour.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You

God Bless,

Seán

The Sacred Heart is an excellent sign of the love of God, and a reminder of the Incarnation. The Holy Wisdom of God, the Logos of the glorious Lord of Hosts, became a man and took a human heart in His flesh. It beats with the same rhythms as our own. It is the center of the Cosmos, for its owner is the creator of all.

Consecrate yourselves and your lives, and pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart for others, tomorrow! May that Sacred Heart of GOD always be united to our own!
