While I was glad to see a flurry of news articles of interest to Eastern Catholics, the inclusion of so many in a single thread makes further discussion of any one of the several subjects covered in these articles rather infeasible.

Can we ask the moderators to consider delivering these news articles as separate OPs in a sub-forum as is done elsewhere in CAF?

Thanks for the acknowledgement, and perhaps I should have communicated to you differently - my bad.

I’ll reiterate - the news feeds are of great interest, and I’m always glad to see them. My only point was that sharing them in an aggregated thread, unlike other news clippings on the CAF, makes commenting on an individual article. or even more so on a few unrelated articles, within a single thread rather impractical.

If you are limited in options, I would vote for sharing in multiple threads, if that does not cuase undue work load for you or anyone else on the CAF staff. Otherwise, we’ll remain grateful to have the aggregated threads.

Since you did request feedback I would second the request above to have each article given its own thread, again if it isn’t too much of a pain on your end. It would certainly make commenting and discussion on an individual article easier.

It’s the same amount of work for me if they go into the same thread or separate threads.

This forum doesn’t get a lot of comments on news articles when they’re posted. The current thread has 26 news articles in it. If I separated them out, that would be 26 threads on the board with maybe 3 getting any comments and 1 sparking discussion.

As you noticed, the downside to putting them in one thread is the difficulty a poster has in making a new thread to discuss the news article.

I’ll create a poll and we can experiment to see what’s best.
 
I think the aggregate form is fine. If someone wants to start a whole thread on an article, that person can cut and paste the link and start a specific thread.
