My wife was fired and nobody has hired her or given her even an interview.

We lost our home.

We lost our entire savings.

She found out she can’t bear children.

Her former employer is now suing her.

I’ve prayed so hard these past six months and it feels like a colossal waste. I’m not sure if this will be my last post ever. But praying Rosaries every day, novenas, Mass, blessings from priests.

Nothing has happened. Things are only worse.
 
I’m so depressed over God not helping. I don’t know what to do anymore.
 
I am so sorry you have been experiencing such hardship. I know it doesn’t help if I say I can relate, but you just have to persevere. I have suffered enormous losses the past 30 years and the last 8 have been pretty ugly. literally dragging myself around. I have been alone. at least the two of you have each other. praying that you will feel some relief from this bad luck you have had and that you will find hope that you will overcome this and prayer for strength to persevere. :crossrc:

I’ll be praying for you man. I hope you can see the other side of this intact. Sometimes the drop down to low levels is a gift we’d never have asked for. Sometimes.

But it sure doesn’t feel like it. It feels like abandonment.

So lean into your brothers and sisters here. We’ll hold you for a bit. We’ll carry you here.

Not to disparage your problems which are real, but I just heard a story this past weekend of a Christian woman who had been raped daily by those ISIS thugs before she was able to escape. Or how about the 19 Yazidi women who were purportedly burned alive recently?

Now, stop and put your difficulties up against those folks whom I have mentioned and you will realize that your “problems” are not so bad after all. You wake up every day in the greatest country in the world - now count your blessings and take a positive outlook going forward.

My wife and I have our problems too, but in the end who can help us get through them but God? He loves us and wants the best for us.

I think I’m going to take a break from prayer and trying to discern God’s will.
 
Stay on the forums at least, as I am certain there are many here who will pray for you.
I have an image in my head of those who lifted the arms of Moses in the midst of battle, so that he could continue to intercede for the troops. I know that in the midst of this battle, it might seem like it’s the end. Try to pray as you can, and let the good warriors on this forum pray for you and your wife.

Remember Job. That’s all that I can say.

You certainly have my prayers. I’m so saddened by the purgatory you both find yourselves in.
I pray that the Lord opens up a path for you in this present darkness.
