I love the rosary, I grew up saying it anytime I needed comfort, I pray to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as well, however I have found in the past 8 months if I fall asleep holding my rosary after saying it or if I just need the feel of it to ease my anxiety disorder, I feel like I suddenly can’t breathe, if I do fall asleep I dream I am drowning and wake up crying and gasping for air. I confess my sins often, I live my life trying to help others, I have prayed tons of prayers for protection from evil beings, I just can’t figure out this reaction, does anyone have an idea? thanks

I would certainly ask your priest about it, but I may also recommend seeing your doctor to make sure there’s no serious medical issue

No problems when sleeping without it?

You should see a doctor, tbh. Your anxiety disorder probably affects it, since difficulty of breathing is a common symptom.

Have you checked with a doctor? It sounds like a possible issue with sleep apnea or other breathing disorder related to sleep. I sincerely doubt it has anything to do with the rosary.

So you said you have an anxiety disorder. Do you only have such dreams when the rosary is involved? Does it ever happen when there is no rosary involvement.
