A Prayer Against Depression
O Christ Jesus, when all is darkness and
we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength. Help us
to have perfect trust in Your protecting love
And strengthening power, so that nothing
may frighten or worry us, For, living close
to You, we shall see Your hand, Your purpose,
Your Will through all things. Amen.

Prayers are with you. But please, if you haven’t already, seek medical care for your depression. I also suffer depression that nearly took my life. My priest had me call my primary care doctor immediately, and I’m so thankful. Depression can be a chemical imbalance in your brain. There are medicines that can help, though sometimes you need to try several before finding the correct one for you. Therapy is important too. Try to find a Catholic therapist, or at least a Christian therapist. God Bless you!
