my wife is feeling disconnected, unfed. she watches some preacher on tv and says it makes her feel more involved. ant help??

These programs are making her hunger for the Bible. Check Catholic Parishes near you for Catholic Bible studies. Father Stravinskas has a little book available from Amazon called “The Catholic Church and the Bible”. In one of the Chapters he demonstrates that more than 90 percent of the prayers at Mass are taken from or derived from Scripture. Check out salvationhistory.com on the internet for some on-line scripture studies. Try Scott Hahn’s book “The Lamb’s Supper.” If she doesn’t feel fed after all that she is a scriptural anorexic. 🙂
👍

Another book suggestion 🙂

Jeff Cavins “I’m Not Being Fed: Discovering the food that satisfies the soul”

Do you have EWTN available on your cable? You can also find it on Dish TV, or watch at www.ewtn.com

Catholic Radio in your home - if you do not have a local station, you can get it on Sirius Satellite radio (about $10 per month). You can listen on line to Catholic radio at www.ewtn.com and also at www.avemariaradio.net.

These things help me grow in Faith.

We have moved around and found that churches are all different (even though they are all Catholic). Maybe try shopping around.

thank you to all who have offered their advice. we have been sitting in the cry room with our grand baby, so we do not get a chance to hear the readings and homily clearly. that in it’s self is more then likely the biggest factor. she is a cradle catholic and I am a 3 year old convert. I am serving on the RCIA team and try to tell her what I hear in the classes. it has been 3 weeks since she has been to mass. I don’t want to push too hard. but it is my responsibility to direct my family in this matter.

Perhaps you could take turns sitting in the ‘cry room’ with the we-one on every other service. Then after, the one could enlighten the other on how they perceived the homily and readings, and the other the next time.
This is what we did until the we-ones got into the service with us, and as one aged and went into the service the littler ones remained until all got into it. You will also be able to understand your spouses views and enlightenment as they will be able to with you… as time goes by.
This gives equal time for both aspects of parenthood and charity. Along with getting closer to all your family members.
