I come from a very, very evangelical protestant background, and I am the first person in my family to enter the Catholic Church since the Reformation. Seriously. I pray constantly for their conversion, but they won’t even discuss matters of the faith with me. I’m frustrated because they look down on people that they don’t consider to “born-again,” yet they no longer even attend church because they can’t find one that’s good enough for them. I have also been experiencing some mild persecution from people outside my family that know I am Catholic. The Catholics that have left the Church are the worst.

Please pray for me. I know that I am not alone, yet I feel that way within my family.

Please pray for my entire family’s conversion.

Praying for both you and your family, may God bring conversion to those that prosecute His Church and comfort to you while trying to defend it.

Praying for your intentions,

Remember, you may not have recent Catholic family, but your great ancestors before the reformation are rejoicing and praying with you.

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, 'specially those most in need of thy mercy.

You are in my prayers and I have added your intention to the prayer list on my blog.

Peace be with you,

Kelly 🙂

I will certainly be praying for you, and I will also ask St. Jude and St. Dominic to intercede on your behalf. Peace be with you, and God bless:) .

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless

Not to make it sound worse, but persecution comes with the territory of being Catholic. It’s not the part I wanted returning home to Catholicism from the fundamental evangelical realm. I’m so tired of it. My wife can’t even tell her family that she is Catholic. Preacher in the ranks of brothers and their children. My FIL was an Elder/Bishop and my mom’s family is all Protestant. Not even the Catholic family practice orthodox Catholicism. So I relate. You are not alone. Anyone that is not experiencing struggle is really not practicing their faith. Because we are to be Catholic in all aspects of our life 24-7.

I am praying for you. It’s a spiritual warfair and we need to be vigilant in praying…Know that you have a Guardian Angel. You entire family all have gardian angels [and sadly they may be unaware of it]. Trust that they too would love to see your family return to any church and much more to Catholicism. I try to take make mine proud of being with idiot…[me] by being aware, praying constantly and taking him to mass, confession, etc. Ask the Saint that you chose as your model to pray for you. Don’t hesitate to ask expecially the Blessed Mother to pray you you…and us while you at it. Join in the suffering of Christ with your gift. God has given you a gift…a gift many of us have a knee jerk reaction against, but if we truly realize what suffering does for us and others, we’d be jumping in front of trains…[figurative only of course.] I mean that we would really put our faith out there and graciously accept the suffering we endure. In spite of that it’s understandable when we suffer that most of us require some up time.

Father, you know the persecution
that we converts struggle with from
our families and others.
We beg of you to allow Benny’s
faith to shine brightly and lead others
to you and your church.
Guide him with your words and works.
Give him the strength to overcome
all evil that crosses his path.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus.
AMEN
