Feeling disillusioned and depressed

I’m feeling disillusioned by the world at the moment. I thought that I’d have the world figured out by now, but life continues to be a struggle, mentally and physically. I just wonder why some people are so intent to push others out of the way to get what they want. I know there’s no definitive answer, and I don’t suppose thinking like that does me any good, but I have to admit to having these sorts of feelings from time to time.
 
The reality is God is with you, if you choose him to be. I know that is little comfort when you’re feeling down and looking at the world from the outside. People are selfish these days, we live in a “me” generation. The haves and have not, young vs old, pretty vs plain. But you know what? When you see a blue sky, smell the air, feel the rain on your face or walk past a cat on the street that’s God telling you he’s there and he loves you. That’s all that matters at the end of the day and that makes you special.

Praying that the mental and physical struggle you are encountering will be replaced with joyful rest in the Lord knowing that He sees all and knows all; and that in the midst of the chaos He has plans for your good and knows your every need before you speak a word.
I pray that you experience peace in knowing that God knows that these things trouble you and that He is taking care of you.
I pray that you will be filled with new hope and a greater trust in God’s provision. Mother Mary please pray for this intention.

O Holy Virgin,
in the midst of all your glory, we ask you not to forget the sorrows of this world. Cast a look of pity upon all who struggle against life’s difficulties, and who cease not to feel all its bitterness. Have pity on all who have been separated from those they love. Have pity on the lonely and friendless. Pardon the weakness of our faith. Have pity on those whom we love.

O Holy Mother, show a mother’s compassion toward the sorrowful and those who tremble under life’s afflictions. Give them hope and peace.

Hi. Whatever the situation, whatever your feeling, the fact is God is with you. Keep repeating it to yourself. God who is mighty is on your side and will not abandon you. Praying for you.
