I am feeling just a little down today. I am in the process of converting to Catholic. I have was never married before my current husband of 21 years. My husband was married for a few month when he was 17 or 18 to someone else. Since my husband does not want to have anything to do with church he point blank refuses to get his marriage annulled. I have come to terms and understand why I can’t join the church until he annulls his marriage but some days it is hard. I have already sat and watch as one group of friends in RCIA joined last Easter and now a new group is starting and going through the Rite of Welcome that I once again can not go through.

I need prayer to stay strong and not give up, I want so much to join but can’t.

Praying for you to stay strong and for your husband to have a change of heart.

Praying hard for you

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Praying for you and your husband.May the Holy Spirit “soften” his heart.

Lord, pandacordova is in a dangerous relationship for her salvation. Until her husband gets an annullment, she is married to another woman’s legal husband in God’s eyes. Please help her to recognize how she must talk with a priest for the sake of her soul and the soul of her partner to get things right again with God. Maybe the priest will tell pandacordova to move out and live as brother and sister with her partner until they can be lawfully married in the Church. I pray that she does whatever the Church tells her to do for the benefit of her soul and for the soul of her partner. She knows she’s in a bad relationship that needs to be set straight in God’s eyes. Help her, Lord, to be courageous and holy, and help her do the right thing. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Father, bless pandacordova with the virtue of joy. Hear her prayers as she cries out to You from the darkness. Will You hear her cry, the cry of this child of Yours. We ask for your swift response, and our obedience to Your will always. Mary, pray with us. Amen. :signofcross:

Novena Prayer to
St. Anthony of Padua

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints,
your love for God, and Charity for his creatures,
made you worthy, when on earth, to possess
miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your
word, which you were ever ready to speak
for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by
this thought, I implore for you to obtain for me,
[cure for bladder problem]
The answer to my prayers may require a miracle.
Ever so, you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle
and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full
of human sympathy, whisper my petitions into
the ears of thy Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved
to be folded in your arms, and the gratitude
of my heart will ever be yours
Amen.
