Recently I felt like I’ve been very far away from God…
I don’t know what to do…
Every day I feel blue for no reason…
Can someone help me??

A good spiritual director can be of huge benefit in situations like this. If you don’t have one, consider talking with a trusted priest. In the meantime, I think it’s important to continue with regular spiritual practices even if it feels like you’re just going through the motions. It keeps you open to hearing God’s whisper in time.

You are experience ing “dark night or day of the soul”
It’s common . but uncomfortable.

Is this depression, or spiritual desolation, or just feeling down? Try to figure it out, because solving each problem is different.

If you’ve been feeling down for a while, with no explanation, see your doctor or look up natural remedies for depression, like St John’s Wort, CBT, self-help books, etc.

If you’re just having a normal episode of sadness or mood swing or whatever, do uplifting things like spending time in nature, taking long baths, reading a good novel, watching a funny movie, or looking up funny cat videos on YouTube.

If you suspect it’s spiritual desolation, pray pray pray, talk to your confessor or spiritual adviser, go to confession, hear Mass, receive Holy Communion, and pray pray pray some more.

Above all, hang in there! Don’t give up. Don’t despair. Just keep going and do what you can. God will take care off the rest. 😊

You may be experiencing spiritual desolation, as mentioned already. I am not a spiritual director and am not in the business of telling people what to do, but I would gently suggest that you pray and petition Our Lady to grant you the grace to increase your daily prayer life. If you are in spiritual desolation, prayer is perhaps the last thing you want to do, which is exactly why you should do it. My heart goes out to you! I’ll include you in my holy hour today.

Many years ago I had feelings of being alone and depressed. I asked Jesus to help me out of those feelings.

What I then did was, go through the gospels, looking for the word “friend.” I don’t remember how many times I found it, but what I came away with, was that Jesus is the one, true, faithful friend that I can depend on, to always love me and never abandon me.

Since then, whenever I feel even a little lonely, I think about that, and have something sure to hold onto.

Often, the farther God seems from us - the closer He is to us really.
You need to believe and never give up.

You reminded me of a saying of a favourite saint:

“When you say the Our Father, God’s ear is next to your lips.” (St Andrew Bessette)

@yosi11 Read the lives of the saints. They have a lot to tell us.
