feeling sad because my dad told me today that me and my fiancé cant have children because of my disability and his disability and dad said my doctor said I cant have children I feel so lost and discouraged right now because I want to have children so bad but know I cant. is there a catholic method to have children rather then ivf and surrogate mothers???

How old are you? And are you disabled such that your dad would handle your medical things like this? It just seems odd to hear my dad said my doctor said that my fiancee and I cannot have children.

I am not trying to be snippy, I just wish to understand the situation more.

I will pray for your situation and know that I can sense the heartbreak in your post.

I’ve heard many stories where someone thought there was no hope for conception and it happened anyway. Our God is a God of miracles and compassion.

I will be praying for you.

Hi, my advice to you would be to not feel discouraged. Have hope and perhaps feel inspired by other mothers that couldn’t have children because of their disabilities but somehow managed to have children. Miracles do happen when you really give yourself to our Lord Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.

I’m not sure if your into adoption? That is another method that I am suggesting; My prayers for you.🙂

Holygirl1992,

In another thread you talked about fertility issues, and in this thread you talk about you and your fiance having disabilities and your father seemingly being across (in control of?) your medical issues. I wonder if the issues involved will be far too complex for sensible advice from internet strangers. I suggest you talk to your parish priest about this.

God bless.

Do you have a case worker or an advocate? Also, can you sit down with your priest or deacon and just talk with them about what’s going on?
