Hi guys… Since Monday of last week me and my dad have both been getting really bad feelings, it’s really strange. I just feel such evil or something it’s really hard to explain. Just feelings something bad is going to happen. (Specifically on cloudy days for me I don’t know why I am feeling bad on cloudy days?) Anyways, in my house we are aware that something tragic is going to happen before Jesus comes back. I want you to pray really really hard that nothing bad happens because I have been struggling with mortal sin for the longest time, but funny thing is, my dad hasn’t been to confession in a long time so we have some similarities here. I’m not sure about my mom or my brother but if you have the same feelings (kinda feelings of impending doom,) please let me know as well as additional prayers for the safety of me and my family’s souls. I will be praying for everyone who comments back/reads this as well. Peace be with everyone and get to confession because man does not know when the time has come. :gopray:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind
-2 Timothy 1:7-

Hi blushingmango

We usually can’t prevent things from happening but we can choose how we want to face them. Through hope, faith and most importantly love, we can face anything we are confronted with. We will always be scared but we must have the courage to put fear on the back burner. May God bless you and your family and fill your hearts with live and courage.

Thank you BigBabba, God has shown me a lot of things in my life, but I have never felt such evil as this. I take it as a warning from Him. I prayed to God to overcome it and to help guide me or tell me what I have to do to be prepared. Bless your soul and may you always live in peace ❤️

I get those feelings sometimes… I start praying for forgiveness and mercy… And I too am needing to go to confession.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon BlushingMango in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Sometimes feelings are just feelings. I usually get the feeling of impending doom in the autumn, but I just keep on keeping on and soon the feeling passes.

Sometimes the feeling is due to something else that is not right in my life, like guilt, regret, or anxiety that casts a shadow on everything else.

Whatever the reason for your feeling, even if doom does indeed await us, remain faithful, and that may grant you hope, peace, and a clear mind.

St. Paul wrote, in Romans 8:
We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. …] If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him? Who will bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who acquits us. Who will condemn? It is Christ Jesus who died, rather, was raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us. What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? …] No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

That we may have such faith, hope, and love, let us pray.

"Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel."

~Philippians 4:6-7

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

~John 14:27

"You, Lord, give perfect peace
to those who keep their purpose firm
and put their trust in you.
Trust in the Lord forever;
he will always protect us."

~Isaiah 26:3-4

“Behold, I make all things new”

Thanks, Gabe! Your comment helps me feel that I am not alone and that I can get through anything with the power of God. My mom has been really reassuring about it too. I guess it’s from all my anxiety really. Peace be with you always. :hug3:

I know what you mean…praying for things to start looking up. At least you turned to the right place to start with!!

I pray that you both do get to confession and receive the Eucharist soon. Most parishes have Reconciliation on Saturdays and you can receive communion immediately afterward at the vigil mass. Whether or not anything bad happens, these two things are always good. Whether or not Jesus comes back before our own deaths doesn’t matter because the end result is the same either way. Praying for you…

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
AMEN!
