I used to feel so excited about my faith and about the idea of receiving the Eucharist once I’m Catholic… I was excited about going to Adoration…
but now I just feel nervous and sad all the time 😦 I don’t know why… maybe it’s just a trial that I have to get through. But I almost feel like I ‘lost’ something.

If you have a moment could you please say a little prayer for me that I’d be able to just focus on God and trust Him 🙂 thank you ❤️

I’m just finding it so hard to pray, and everything I read makes me nervous when before it used to bring me joy.

But I’m still offering this to God and not trying to rely on my feelings. I know that trials can be beautiful too if we let God sanctify us through them. I just feel so far from Him, further than I’ve ever been 😦 I really don’t know why! I do know that only sin distances us from Him though.

what do you do when you just feel tired spiritually?

Monica, it’s a big life change. Any big life change wonderful or sad can be in its way, traumatic. And highs are often followed by lows.
Now you have the opportunity to consider and welcome God’s gifts for everything they are, without the excitement of human joy. That may return…but this time is an opprotunity to grow in actual faith, regardless of feelings. In this way you are entering int deeper faith and dialogue with God who is beyond our full understanding.

You are in my prayers,
warmly, Trishie

Dear God,
In my lack of trust, let me live faith.
In my disappointment, let me live hope.
In my bleakness, let me live joy.
In the emptiness of my heart, let me live love.
In my deprivations, let me value what is precious before You.
In my anger and resentment, let me live generosity and forgiveness.
In my detachment, let me live community.
In the difficulties of commitment, let me be dedicated.
In my failures, let Your Spirit bless and heal.
In my successes, let Your will be served.
In human reality, let me live spiritual wisdom.
In maturity, let me become true child of the Father.
In my individuality, let me live in Eucharistic communion.
In the kind and warm things that I try to do, let Your grace flow.
In the confusion of my life, in my striving and good intentions
—regardless of my doubts and mistakes, let me fully live Your will.

Glory to God for people of faith

God, I joyfully bless You for all people of faith throughout the centuries! I bless You for those who never doubt Your love and action! I bless You for those who never reproach You for Your mysterious ways! I honour You for those who live in humble joyful harmony with Your will. I praise You for the multitudes of saints! I honour You for those who live in Your love even though they do not believe in You.

I ask pardon for doubts and anxieties that indicate my lack of “perfect love which casts out all fear”. Grant me buoyant faith that You bring all things to good! I wish I never feared that You are less vigilant than I desire for my loved ones, and for anyone in need. Like Job, I ask Your forgiveness and enlightenment for my doubts.

Take my “heart of stone” and fill it with tenderness, courage, and love. Revive my joy and hope so that I reveal Your face to others. Draw to Yourself all my dear ones and everyone for whom I should intercede.

Delight Yourself in me by the trust and goodness, the humility and grace that You nurture within my being and theirs. Thereby may we fulfil Your will and dream in our lives, to the glory of Your merciful love. November 1999

Trust
Eternal Father, we cannot endure prolonged or severe spiritual desolation without Your support. Please comfort us, and increase our faith.

Jesus suffered doubt as we do when He cried out, “My God, My God, why have You abandoned Me?” We unite our doubt with His, for You look with silent pity and unspeakable love on Your Son. You know that Jesus, though sinless, chose to suffer with us, drinking the cup of our unloving choices.

Jesus, You say to me, “Take up your cross and follow Me!” “If you love me, keep my commandments.” I fix my eyes upon the bright scars of Your ransom for me. Why did You suffer so terribly for me who even now remain unconverted? Yet Your wounds, Your hands, Your heart and Your word are filled with promises that You desire to fulfil in me and in others.

Give us strength to bear doubt when it comes, our God, so that with Jesus we can say, “Father, into Your hands I commend my spirit”, thus joining with Him to death of unbelief and sin—into freedom of rising with Him into the glory of the redeemed spirit. April 1981

I offer You my only coin—trust against all appearances, hope despite my heartache, and faith despite my sins and flaws. Mercifully accept this meagre offering and open Your treasure house of love to me and to those whom You wish to serve through me. October 1981

“The longer the trial to which God subjects you, the greater the goodness in comforting you during the time of trial and in the exultation after the combat.”

“The most beautiful credo is that which comes from your lips in darkness, in sacrifice, in pain, in the supreme effort of an unbending will for good. It is this which, like a stroke of lightening, penetrates the darkness of the soul; it is this which in the flash of the tempest lifts you and leads you to God.” (Saint Pio)

“By kindliness and loyalty, atonement is made for sin.” [Proverbs 16:6]

Thank you so much Trishie!! 🙂

that is beautiful 🙂

I hope I’ll just trust God through this.

This morning, I was feeling especially confused, and then started thinking about how I went to my family’s Orthodox church and everything I liked about it. And ever since then I’ve been feeling so, well, doubtful of my conversion. I thought the doubts had went away lol but now they’re back! Last week it was great cause I prayed a lot and felt so happy and confident about my conversion. oh well…these things happen I guess… I’ll just try not to rely on feelings and pray that God would direct my path according to His will.

thanks again 😉

God bless!

It must be scary sometimes to change from one’s family’s tradition
I ask the Holy Spirit to guide you powerfully so that you choices and life is fully according to His desire.

thank you so much 🙂 I appreciate all your prayers! God bless 🙂
