No problem if you don’t believe me, God know that I’m telling the truth:)
So the truth is that you were insulted that a man wanted to have sex with you for sex’s sake when you were willing to have sex with him in exchange for him listening to you talk about a necklace that costs hundreds of dollars that you feel depressed about because no one will talk to you about it?

So the truth is you are going to stay celebite for the rest of your life because almost two years ago you saw your old boyfriend (who was a homeless criminal) looking at a picture of women in lingerie and other women told you all men do that even when they are in a relationship, except in this one case you are so depressed over not being able to talk to someone about fashion that you are willing to prostitue yourself?

Give me a break!

I suppose you expect people here to be morally outraged, continue to try to help you and straighten out the problems you are creating for yourself (real or fake, doesn’t matter). And you don’t mind that you have taken a lot from some nice people here, their time and concern. (I will not include myself, but I see a tremondous amount of care going out to you and you are obviously not considering that and doing dumb things.)

Having a passion for something while your depressed is a GOOD thing. When I went to group therapy for my depression I was told that someone who suffers from depression but has a hobby or passion is less likely to hurt themselves, take too drastic of measures or comit suicide. I think it’s a great thing. And if you want someone to talk about fashion with then feel free to send me a message because I live to get to know people and talk 🙂

Now on another note. Please remember vanity is a sin. There is nothing wrong with being confidant with yourself but saying “I can’t believe how beautiful I am” is vanity. And expecting others to bow to your beauty is leanding others into idol worship.

Simply put I encourage your passions but please examin your feelings and make sure that you are not commiting the sin of vanity or causing others to sin.
Thank you Mrs. Turner, I’m really very sorry that you had depression as well, and hope are you okay now…yes I would feel completely lost if I had no passion at all. I am going to send you a message 🙂

Yes I am way too vain >.> I have to tone it down I feel.

Carole, yes that’s true. Now I wouldn’t have slept with him if he had said he had a girlfriend, mind you, so the 2 things are not contradictory. Keep in mind that when people are depressed they sometimes do impulsive things to feel better. I know that most people don’t understand depression and what a very real thing it is. I’m grateful that people care about me and was very grateful for your responses as well.

Doglover2- do you wear a Miraculous Medal? Or a Cross or Crucifix or scapular? There are probably people on this forum who would discuss religious necklaces and jewlery. There are some really interesting stories relating to scapular and religious medals. 🙂

No I don’t…that’s a very good idea, I want to look into getting one! The Cross is definitely a good symbol 🙂

Easter, ah sometimes I was not clear. I do listen to my dad and my friends talk about what they’re interested in. I very infrequently bring up stuff about myself, but when I do, it’s usually fashion related, and they can’t relate so they just change the topic. I actually have been very beautiful for a long time and makeup and expensive clothes only enhances my beauty. I’m very sorry that you’ve gone through depression as well. It seems pretty common…

The fact is that men would give up their seat and their life for beautiful women, also they would walk 10 miles barefoot on rocky terrain to deliver a drink to a beautiful woman, and also managers would give the whole store’s deed and stocks to a good looking woman so it’s like thank you so much for telling me i’m ugly. I know I’m good looking, whenever I look in the mirror I am amazed that I was blessed with such astounding beauty and honestly if I had never seen myself I would not have believed it was possible for someone to be so beautiful. However it still depresses me when people don’t respect and bow down to my immense beauty.
Yes, “managers would give the whole store’s deed and stocks to a good looking woman” and you are a beauty beyond compare, which is why you’re talking in March about having to wait until Christmas to get a necklace that features a mythical woman whose foolishness about her own beauty lead her to become the most repulsive, accursed, and friendless creatures anyone ever looked upon. This totally makes sense.

I have to wonder if you are not pulling our legs. I cannot believe there is a sentient being who regards herself and talks about herself as if she were Victoria Falls and yet wonders why everyone around her is sick of the subject of what she sees in the mirror. Who could possibly be that self-absorbed? If such a creature exists, who could teach her anything or ever hope to make her happy in her total self-idolization? Oh, good grief, if this were really the way you talk and think, I would be surprised you have anyone who wants to talk to you at all, let alone a father who still finances this nonsense. That such a woman would come here looking for validation beggars belief. Why on earth would she have the least interest in a Catholic web site?

You have pushed this too far. If you are for real, get help. If your current course is not making you happy now, it never will. Otherwise, just cut it out.

👍
Let us know when you find a cross necklace you like. When the clasp on my necklaces twist around to the front, I like to say a little prayer while I twist it to the back. Religious jewlery can be a nice way to lift our hearts and minds to the Lord.

Umm… I saw the photo of you on your blog. While there is certainly nothing wrong with your appearance, I think that your view of yourself is somewhat unrealistic.

Dog lover, I am not sure if you’re trolling with all this talk about your excessive beauty, but if you are serious you should bear some things in mind. Even if you are very beautiful vanity is a sin and it is also very unattractive to others, esepcially a beautiful woman walking around expecting others to indulge her every whim. That attitude can make a beautiful woman less attractive right away. What is more attractive is a beautiful woman who Is kind and tries to be humble and of service, actually these things make everyone more attractive.

I think beautiful women tend to feel and be very isolated, since other women feel threatened and so make up reasons not to like her (instead of admitting they are jealous) and men are either too afraid to approach or only players do. Then the women in this situation might, like you are doing, put too much stock in their looks since they feel they should at least deserve some attention since they are lonely. So they are valued solely for looks or else become vain or arrogant bc of this cycle and get judged again. They also get defensive at being unfairly attacked and objectified and so can seem mean which is the cycle again. I suggest you pray to St Rose of Lima to prevent vanity.

And please do not sleep with a stranger from the Internet. It is a sin and you are seriously putting your soul and body and his at risk. He could be psycho or diseased. I struggle with depression and poor impulse control sometimes, like with shopping or food or things I say but it is no excuse to put yourself and others on danger, we have take greater responsibility not just write it off bad behavior as excusable because of depression. A lot of people understand depression, and it is a cross, I know.

Please see a therapist as people here mentioned. You seem to have some unrealistic ideas about what human interaction entails, and it probably isn’t helping your mood. Nd please turn to Christ with all of these issues and ask Him to show you your true beauty and how beautiful you can be in heaven. If you want to talk PM me.

I’m not sure if you are serious or not, but I’ll continue to respond as if you are.

There is depression stemming from chemical imbalances in the brain. And then there is depression stemming from pursuing the fleeting things of this world instead of God. It’s unfulfilling, and our hearts will stay restless. I am glad you pray every day, but if you are missing church for socialization, consenting to sexual sin, and spending excessive amounts of money on jewelery, there is certainly room for improvement. And room for improvement is a good thing. It means there is hope!

There is nothing wrong with appreciating beauty. There is nothing wrong with appreciating fashion, in it of itself. Maybe, you could channel it in a different way because when centered on yourself, it will never lead to happiness. Do you work? Perhaps you could pick up some part-time shifts at an upscale boutique. You would be around fashion, and you would put your skills to use in helping other people look good. Also, you’d probably find people with similar interests. If that’s not possible, I see you like jewelery, and maybe you could learn how to make your own creations. If you are creative, that could be a good outlet. Imagine being able to sell your pieces, and seeing how they complement other outfits. Or, imagine forging you own designs, and bringing your pieces to a children’s hospital for the little girls in the cancer wing to play dress-up.

If vanity is your biggest vice, I’d recommend trying to cultivate the opposite virtue. What do you think that would be?
It will be hard and it will take sacrifice on your part, and not just waiting until you feel like it. You have to pray about it all the time. One day, you might be able to withdraw the cash for your medusa necklace, go look at it in the store, leave without the necklace, and quietly put the cash in the poor box after Mass.
