Only NPR would publish such a heart wrenching, teary eyed bunch of garbage as this…and to think that this is supported by taxpayer dollars makes my stomach turn…they’re celebrating the excommunation of all these women and others from the Church…All these people care nothing about the Church, they’re just trying to cause division and problems within the Church…But our Holy Church will still be here long after they’re just a dim memory…

You don’t know the half of it. Back in 1989, KCET, Los Angeles’ PBS TV station, aired a film it made called “Stop the Church” hosted by Val Zavala, one of the station’s reporters. It ignited a controversy with Cardinal Mahoney of the Archdiocese of LA who spoke out against its approval of the homosexual lifestyle. Some say the Cardinal’s condemnation of the film cost the station $70,000 in contributions [about $120,000 in today’s dollars]. Before the station aired it, homosexuals threatened to jam the up-coming August fund-raiser if it was not shown. I didn’t know what it was about, but my curiosity was raised by the title. I watched only a small portion. You can read about it here.

From the reference:“And where is the same interest in airing controversial films on the right side of the political spectrum. I have no problem with KCET airing controversial shows if they are willing to show both sides. Why doesn’t KCET, for example, have the same attitude about any of a number of superbly produced pro-life films? In light of that, their self-righteous concerns for free expression of ideas and alarm about censorship, rings a little hollow.”
