Does anyone know what the Cathedral in Cologne is known for? I heard about it from the homily this past Sunday. It is the Shrine of the Three Kings

They show their rack so you won’t notice their ugly faces( which could stop a clock).
Stopping the assumption that women should be seen as a collection of body parts, and then judged on their beauty is a thing real feminism is against and as we can see, is a real actual problem that should be fixed.

This group is not good, but this is not what Feminism really is. I hate these extremist being put up as the example and horror of all feminism. It’s like those idiots who bomb abortion clinics being the poster children for all pro-lifers.

Their bodies are buried there, but our assistant pastor says the Magi never existed, so I don’t know.

Your assistant pastor is wrong on this. Believe in what the Church and the Scriptures say:

===================
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judah, in the days of Herod the king, there came Magi from the East to Jerusalem. And they were saying, where is the King of the Jews, who has been born? For we have seen his star in the East, so we have come to worship him (Matt. 2:1-2).

God bless,

Rony

I think when naked ladies start prancing around on altars this is the best time for everybody in the Church needs to bow down on their knees, lower their heads and eyes, and enter into a prayer for as long as it takes.

The dispute is whether there were three Magi, and whether their names were approximationsof Balthasar, Melchior and Caspar.

I didn’t see this posted here after a quick skim, but this is part of the problem here, from Kathy Schiffer’s blog:the media…were standing ready to capture the protest on film, but no one in the media offices had the personal fortitude to warn authorities or to take any action to prevent the sacrilege within Germany’s largest cathedral. FEMEN’s stunts are designed for maximum publicity; and the organization had invited the largest media outlets to ensure that the world would hear the story. The Express, Cologne’s largest newspaper, had a reporter and photographer present. A cameraman from Hans Paul Media, one of the world’s largest paparazzi organizations, had already photographed Josephine Witt fully clothed in her pew; he now waited in the south wing of the cathedral for the Mass to be interrupted, so that he could capture the bold protest as it happened.

The Cathedral administration is exploring options to use the media present, they recently confirmed.

The media is not there to make news by interfering with the protest. The media is there only to report the news as it develops. The police are the ones who should be called to stop the protest in the Church.

I don’t know what is German law, but there may be some sort of violation of being an “accessory” or “conspirator” or something similar if they had foreknowledge of a crime and failed to notify authorities. It wouldn’t be “making news” if you stop a crime you know is about to happen. If you go to report on a non-crime, that’s fine. But say they knew someone was going to do an assassination - should a privvied media keep silent and go to take a picture of the murder? You see the difference between foreknowledge about a news story and a crime. We will see if anything comes of the legal investigation described in the few posts above.

I suppose you are right in the case when it is known that a crime would be committed. However, a simple protest is not always a crime. In fact, in the USA and in Europe, people were defending the P-Riot gang and criticising President Putin, even though it seemed to me that what the P-Riot was doing was criminal and that President Putin had every right to send them to a prison camp.

But in this case it was not a simple protest. It was a crime. I think the Church may have a valid point. If some women were going to break into a school assembly and strip for a bunch of children and the media went to film it, it would be the same action, except they would not have cooperated.
