I am wondering how the Catholic Church would view choosing to adopt children instead of have your own when a couple has no problem in conceiving and carrying a baby full term. Could a couple have a calling to adopt or foster children, especially those with different problems and needs and give up having biological children even when fertility is not an issue? Still have sex in marriage but practice nfp to avoid pregnancy in order to be able to dedicate more one and attention to children that may not have anyone.
