I assume you mean if something comes up that would be a near occasion of sin for you to read you skip those pages… I think it’s impossible to read while skipping everything “immoral”- there wouldn’t be a story without immoral characters or characters who make immoral choices. Scripture is full of such stories ;).

Christ Himself taught using fictional stories. We call them parables.
 
The old Testament is not really fictional but look at all of the violence noted.! Much also in the New Testament. Right.
 
I agree–works of fiction sometimes can provide great, uplifting stories with morals that we can carry along into “real life”. I remember reading as a child A Little Princess and taking away the concept that one could always behave well and treat others with kindness no matter what one’s external conditions are like. Other stories can show us how a family should be, or how to bravely face a conflict or great difficulty–or provide a great warning about why a particular path will end badly.
