So I am looking at buying some fiestaware for our everyday dinnerware. DH hates my floraly patterened Pfaltzgraff that I have had since college (over 15 years ago). Plus it is chipped up here and there, so time for it to go.

I am not into just having one color, so I thought I would buy a place setting in different colors.

So far I have decided I like the White, Scarlet, & Blue. I am having a hard time deciding what other color I should go with.
We will probably end up getting 6-8 place settings, although I am only getting 4 for now due to the cost.

So any suggestions from fiestaware owners??? Do you think my idea of each placesetting a different color silly???

I own several Fiestaware pieces, although no complete sets, but I think you’d be better to mix and match your set colors. All the colors they produce are so vibrant and nice to look at that you don’t have to worry about them clashing. Of course you may like some colors more than others but that is your personal taste.

I’m lucky enough to live about an hour away from the actual factory and my brother and I have made several trips there and we always seem to leave with more than we intended.

OK, these are my choices for my 4th color, what would you choose? (the other sets will be Scarlet (red), White, Cobalt (blue))

Evergreen (DH likes this one, he says for american dishes we could do red, white and blue and for italian/mexican dishes we could do red, white, green) 🤷 (I think it looks too Christmassy, fine for Christmas, although not my fav all year long)

Sunflower

Plum

Tangerine

I think tangerine or sunflower would look very nice. I also think it would look cool to, instead of chosing different color place settings, cjoose all the same color dinner plates, then matching bowls, etc., so that you had the color range but the individual pieces matched.

have you checked here? homerlaughlin.com/ffd/home.asp

they’re having a sale. not sure if it’s as good as last month’s nut still way better than dept store prices.

Fiestaware is some of the only totally lead-free dinnerware available. Good choice! 👍

I have been searching the web for deals all day, that is one of the better ones 👍 , I think I found one better, although they are not an authorized dealer, wasn’t too sure I wanted to go through them!!

I am leaning toward the Sunflower. I eventually will add 2-4 more sets, although I do like your idea of having the plates one color, bowls a different. I will have to think about that option too!!!

Have you seen their table cloth and napkins!! That is already on my 2009 Christmas list!!!

I love tangerine!!! maybe you could get some tangerine, some evergreen.

Mine are all mixed up, with no rhyme or reason.

My mom has everything in a different color. The colors all coordinate so it works!

I have a really pretty blue bowl. I think it would be cool to have different colors.

**I say use Sunflower as your 4th color. It goes great with each of your other colors or works all together.

Whatever you get, i’m sure you’ll love. I don’t have any Fiestaware myself, but maybe someday…someday…lol**

Mix em up.

A friend’s daughter registered for every color - her shower was a rainbow and GOREGOUS!!

did someone say color?

did someone say fiestaware??

white, purple and tangeringe. yeah, baby.

OR white blue and shamrock.

shamrock, white sunflower

OR

marigold, peacock and white (my personal fav!!!1)

does the factory still have seconds events? i went to one a few years ago. some of the seconds are near perfect.

as for color. YES!!
all are wonderful. and the jewel tones of today are much nicer than the pastels of the 90’s. 👍

Where is the factory? I guess since I am looking at only spending as close as I can to $100.00 right now (for 4 sets of 4), I am doubting that making a trip to the factory would be cost effective. I did look to see if they had stores in any of our outlet malls, no luck 😦

true, you’d have to make it as part of another trip.

Yes, the factory still has their seconds room. You’re right if you are willing to put in the time to search through their mountains of seconds you can find some near perfect pieces. I think it’s well worth it to spend the time going through the various plates, cups, bowls and platters to find the ones you want. If you don’t find what you want at first that doesn’t mean they won’t have it as seconds in another week or month or two.

I let everyone in my family pick a color of their own. It has been a blast. You can start getting them a place setting on their birthday! That is a slow way to start but such fun!
