In the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Paragraph 2601 states:
Code:
Just as Jesus prays to the Father and gives thanks before receiving his gifts, so he teaches us filial boldness: "Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you receive it, and you will."

What do you think about filial boldness?

Hebrews 4:16 says : “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Come boldly to the Throne of grace, recall that you are an adopted son of the Most High. Approach boldly asking for what you need. But recall who you are talking to, and humble yourself, for God favors the humble. And apposes the proud. Always has and always will. But as an adopted son of the Almighty, come boldly to Him in your requests and ask diligently and repetitiously. Also, the more righteous of a man you are, i.e the more Holy and good and full of the creating of good fruits and virtues, the more often and easily you will get your prayers answered. Jesus always got his prayers answered.

Love it! I think we should more often approach God as a very dear and very intimate friend who we can share who we really are. James 4:8 says “draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” IMO, we draw near to someone when we really want to get to know them and are able to share who we really are with them. Moreover, God has infinite mercy and love for us and desires so much to give us “good gifts” when we ask Him (see Mt. 7:11).
