After starting RCIA in Sept 2015, I’m finally getting to come into the Church at Easter Vigil. I was raised Baptist, married a Catholic girl (outside the church) almost 30 years ago. I had a disastrous young marriage that was a spectacular failure in every way, which is the complete opposite of this one.
I spent about four or five years studying Catholicism, trying to decide if it was something I wanted, and finally told my wife I was going to take classes in 2015. Applied for a decree of nullity in Nov 2015, finally received it in Dec 2016, had my first confession last week, and on the 15th will come into the Church and have our marriage convalidated. It’s been a long time , but it’s going to be worth it.
