Please pray for our business. We are experiencing severe financial hardship as our sales are down 50%. The bad economy has found us, out of nowhere starting a few months ago. I guess I always assumed it might trend downward, like most businesses but never did I imagine this steep of a drop.

My partner and I decided to lay off our 2 employees last Friday but then on Monday we had our biggest sales day of the year – 4 times our “normal” volume when things are good. I viewed that as an answer to prayer and was encouraged. However today we had our worst day in 10 years and if things continue we will default on our business mortgage and our personal mortgages.

I know that I have been too materialistic in the past. Perhaps that is why this is occuring. I’ve asked God to help me, to tell me what to do. I will give up everything if thats what’s needed but I just don’t know what to do – do I continue to have Faith God will rescue us or should we get rid of all of our staff now and put them into financial difficulty.

It’s tough to know what to do. From Faithful and Believing to doubting and drowning in just a couple of days 🙂

Please pray we will have WISDOM!!

Dear Zosa,

May God grant you the wisdom to decide for the best. You must be awfully worried, you poor soul.

These are such difficult economic times that are impacting on so many people.
I’m sorry that they are also affecting your business, and threatening your own livelihood and that of your employees. The economic difficults are not caused by God but initially by the greed of the few who precipitated the economic crisis. Most problems aren’t caused by God but by people, and unfortunately the consequences ripple out and affect numerous individuals and businesses.
I ask God to help you and your partner and employees with all these difficult and terrible financial problems, but also, and above all, to help you all regarding your eternal welfare.

Please God you will get through this, with the best outcomes for you and your employees.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Dear Lord, Zosa is having difficulty discerning what he/she should do. Come Holy Spirit, help Zosa make the most charitable and practical decision. May Zosa only lose staff when it becomes absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to keep them. That way he/she doesn’t do anything out of fear or pessimism - but only out of necessity. Maybe Zosa may have to cut back on the hours of one or both staff members for now and only cut back staff members when absolutely necessary. Lord, may Zosa take this opportunity to visit You for an hour each day (if possible) and talk with You about Your will for his/her life and may Zosa seek Your voice for an answer. Maybe Zosa could do a novena and ask You for a response to what should be done in these difficult circumstances. Lord, whatever Zosa does my he/she place all confidence in Your merciful love and be completely abandoned to Your merciful love. May Zosa not despair but act with a practical approach to his/her new circumstances. May Zosa begin praying the rosary each day and consecrate himself/herself to our Lady and grow in charity, faith and hope. Lord, grant Zosa perseverence, widom and faith to keep strong and to know what to do. Grant him/her a deep, strong prayer life so he/she can get through this difficult time with an even greater faith and closeness to You. May you grant Zosa the desire to pray for a good amount of time each day and may Zosa respond by working on his/her relationship with You and making time for prayer - even when it appears that time is lacking. Lord, I will include Zosa in my daily prayers. Help Zosa and grant him/her confidence in You and your providence. You work all thing out for the good for those who love you and do your will. May Zosa keep loving You and doing your will and try to be perfectly conformed to your will and Your Son, Jesus, with everything he/she does. Lord, help Zosa and make him/her an excellent saint! Amen.
