Okay, my wife arrived to my country and we have a great time together.

But I checked my balance last weekend and it seems the prayer for money has just become really urgent. It seems there is no way to get out of debt in the upcoming months, and I don’t know where to ask for help or don’t have the courage to really ask for that help. We’re looking for better jobs and know that some expenses will go away within a few months.

But right now, there just are too many unexpected expenses… My heart is feeling happy but my head is worried for all the financial problems I am facing. I don’t want to keep confronting my wife with this who does all she can to feel at home here and who I see taking her responsibility.

I know miracles are possible - and it seems we need one right now.

Prayer to St. Joseph:

Joseph, by the work of your hands
and the sweat of your brow,
you supported Jesus and Mary,
and had the Son of God as your fellow worker.

Teach me to work as you did,
with patience and perseverance, for God and
for those whom God has given me to support.
Teach me to see in my fellow workers
the Christ who desires to be in them,

towards all.

Grant me to look upon work
with the eyes of faith,

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.
 
Prayer to Our Mother of Perpetual Help for Financial Aid

Dear Mother Mary,
We approach thee with submissive and humble hearts,
because we have a child-like confidence in thy intercession and goodness,
beseeching thee to assist Sam in his present financial worry.
We believe, dear Mother, that thou art not only rich and bountiful,
but extremely kind and generous to all thy loving children.
We plead with thee then, dear Mother, to obtain for Sam
the help he so urgently needs in his present financial difficulty.

Dear God please help Sam and his wife in their needs.
Guide them and bless them, in their jobs and in their planning, saving, and spending.
Hold them in Your love.
