Financial stress and my life's vocation

Peace of the Lord,

I need your prayers to find a job in my field of study. At this point I will take almost anything. I am stressed because for the last 8 years I have invested in becoming a teacher thinking that is where God was leading me. I recently did my first year in a master’s program. It is demanding and I have to juggle family, work and school. The government is implanting serious cuts to the education system and many of us who don’t have job security will be left with nothing. Also my eldest has learning disabilities and wants to quit college. My husband has to do two jobs to pay the bills. It is stressing me and the family. I try to remain positive but I feel betrayed after all those hours of volunteering and taking mundane jobs to make it in the door now I have to deal with this.

Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular Still Hoping, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Road Ahead
"My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.
