Which character in a book most reminds you of yourself?

for me

Konstantin Dmitrievitch Levin (“Kostya”) – The protagonist and socially awkward loner in Ana Karenina

The Whiskey Priest - The Power and the Glory. except I would be the whiskey layman

Forrest Gump

or Dorothy Gale, traveler through Oz

or Gandalf the Grey

For good and bad, Charles in Brideshead Revisited, but not everything about us is the same, of course.

I also have some qualities of Hamlet

Francie Nolan in “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn”.

And her mother, Katie Nolan, as well.

And when I was a kid, I was likened (unfortunately, in my opinion) to Mary Ingalls in the “Little House” books… the “good little girl” (I wanted to be Laura!)

Wow! How lucky! That matches your username. 😉

On a side note – Anna Karenina, great ending. Don’t want to spoil it though for those who haven’t read it.

Mat Cauthon in the Wheel of Time series.

and to be interesting perhaps Severian in the Book of the New Sun.
