Praying for you. I have no doubt that you are consumed with anxiety and negativity. I have suffered from this a lot when life spins me out of control. I do not know what you are doing to help alleviate your pain right now, but here is how I help manage mine:
Natural Remedies (i.e. lavender, passionflower, etc.) - I drink tea and use the oils to help me sleep.
Exercise - AT LEAST 21 minutes every day. That’s about how long it takes to reduce anxious tension.
Positive Thinking – It takes TEN good thoughts to replace ONE bad thought. Whenever I start thinking negatively about situations, I turn to my Pinterest board where I have positive quotes and such and I repeat them to myself.
Counseling - This is a big one. It is so difficult to take that first step and go, in fact, it’s difficult for me to go EVERY time, but there is nothing to be ashamed about here. It can truly be beneficial to you. A trained professional will be able to help you deal with your current situations (trust me - they’ve seen MANY people in similar shoes).
Healthy eating - Bad food only does bad things. Eat natural foods: a lot of fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish, good fats, etc. Get rid of any processed, chemical-laden food.
Prayer, Prayer, Prayer - I notice that when I’m consumed by detrimental thinking and anxieties that I am also distancing myself from God. The fact that you’re here tells me you are at least trying to make your way back (if you ever even left). There are several verses you can repeat to yourself when you are overcome with worry.
Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Proverbs 12:25
An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 5:6-8
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Hebrews 13:5-6
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
Psalm 56:3
When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
