Which men’s religious ‘orders’ focus on the priesthood? Something like canons or clerics regular, etc. I feel called most of all to be a priest but not as a diocesan priest.

Are you interested in Traditional orders (i.e. TLM only)?

Both FSSP and ICRSS have this focus.

May God Bless you in your vocation!

Most orders are either exclusively priests or a combination or priests and brothers. What type of spirituality calls you? Religious orders run parishes in many places so you could be a Dominican priest, Franciscan priest, Jesuit priest, etc.

I think the most important thing is to identify the spirituality then follow through with the specific order.

Perhaps you might want to look into the Legionaires of Christ. They are similar to the Jesuits, but have a different spirituality and charism. They don’t have parishes, and are very Orthodox.

I have stayed at all three Legion formation centres in North America, and my spiritual director is a Legionary priest. Although I don’t feel called to their life myself, I never would have truly discovered my own vocation without them

I think you are asking about parish priests? (canons and clerics regular are specifically orders that do parish work).

If so you have the Norbertines (I can recommend the CA abbey on reputation and knowing a former aspirant there), the FSSP, or the Oratory (which is comprised of secular priests living in community), and the Companions of Christ (Diocesan priests in community, in MN or now in Denver.

Beyond that there are a number of orders that run parishes, from Benedictines to Jesuits, Franciscans to Dominicans. More still will have priests that do parish mission MIC’s (who are really cool), and Fathers of Mercy are well known there.

In my opinion, (completely unbiased, of course;) ) is a small Cistercian monastery in NJ whose primary work is the parish they run. It only has four priests, 2 from Italy and 2 from Africa (Ethiopia/ Eretria sp?), one brother in temorary profession, and one postulant (at least two postulants in August, possibly three).

ya there’s too many. gotta figure out what you like - parish, parish missions, contemplative, active-contemplative, chaplain, missionary, etc. basically gotta figure out your charism then you can start searching, or just start anywhere and go from there.
