I’m not them, so please explain.
Think about all of the threads you’ve started, your silence on most of those threads, and your signature. We’ve seen it all before. In fact, my time at the CARM boards (google that if you don’t know that forum, but I doubt it) has given me additional experience with your type of posting.

You brought it up, explain it.

Again, why are you accusing me of something that has nothing to do with this thread? You’ve already reported me and accused me of doing something that you obviously do to other people.

What does my signature mean? Care to explain?
Since you seem to feel that you are the only one qualified to interpret and quote scripture, why don’t you tell all of us what your signature means.

Personally, i can’t wait to hear what you come up with.

You brought it up, explain it.
Already done. Your posting style is nothing new, and I think you know that, since you make threads that simply quote [out of context] scripture (without any comment from yourself), leading us to assume you interpret such verses in the same way that your anti-Catholic predecessors have, especially when you quote the same, typical verses, such as the one in your signature.

And what’s even more funny is that you accuse a poster of derailing this thread, when you continued the derailing yourself by asking him to tell you what your signature means. Typical.

You are of the “true church.” 😃

You are of the “true church.” 😃
That appears to be the only thing you have gotten right since you have been on the forums.

Catholics do belong to the One True Chuch.

Too bad you aren’t one of us.

BTW, how many threads have you started and abandoned now? 37? 38?

Have you moved on to derailing other peoples threads now?

Thanks for all of your answers. Please don’t argue, I’m starting to feel like it’s my fault for asking the question.

When you guys say write down your beliefs, do you mean like in a journal?..like kind of a list?..after I write down my beliefs…what about any beliefs I don’t have an opinion on or are not sure about… journal it out while researching?

I get it now.

I’m in the none catholic forum posting none catholic beliefs and you want me banned because I have anti catholic beliefs? Makes a lot of sense.🤷
So shouldn’t all none catholics be banned with that logic?

I get accused of abandoning threads, but no one sees a problem when the topic is changed or when I am personally attacked.

First I was simple minded and couldn’t grasp anything. Second, my and my pastors authority was challenged. Then it was my denomination in question and now it is my signature. You all brought up my signature and now you expect me to tell you what it means. Then you get mad because I won’t explain to you what I believe about it.🤷

The same with my denomination. You brought up and asked about my denomination and you got mad because I wouldn’t let you know what it is. Someone from the site asked me what authority do I have to interpret scripture? Well, what authority do you have to demand to know my denomination?

I have done nothing but talk about religion and you all have actually created the problems by bringing up irrelevant things. When will you people learn that 1 person can’t respond to 5 plus people whether it is one thread or one hundred threads?

You all honestly can’t see that all of these problems starts with you. If I abandon a thread, its not because I don’t have an answer. It’s because half of you are being ridiculous. You demand me to do things as if I am beneath you.

I am sorry for those of you who truly wanted to talk to me and ask me things, but until your catholic friends can be serious I will continue to ignore you.

Thanks for all of your answers. Please don’t argue, I’m starting to feel like it’s my fault for asking the question.
Don’t worry about it, it’s not you, we have many people that ask for the advice you are looking for all the time.

First, you should read the Bible. If you already have, read it again. Think about the major beliefs that you have questions about, and look into what various churches have to say about it. Pray to God while doing this. You should look into the Biblical basis for these beliefs, as well as the historicity of these beliefs. You say that you are being led to Catholicism. What/Who is leading you to the Church? I’m not sure what church you belong(ed) to, but read, think, and pray about the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is central to Catholicism, which makes sense, since Jesus Christ is the center of Catholicism.

I don’t think you do get it.

It has been explained to you before (by me, for one), this section is for “comparing and contrasting beliefs”. It is ok to have different beliefs on this section of the forum. That is what it is about. But to be blatantly anti-Catholic on a Catholic website for one thing is against the forum rules.
I get accused of abandoning threads, but no one sees a problem when the topic is changed or when I am personally attacked.
But you do abandon threads. You make one or two posts, where your opinions or thoughts are refuted, and when you don’t like the answer, you leave.

Please provide a quote for where your pastor’s authority was challenged. Unfounded accusations carry no weight at all, and are inappropriate behavior.

You are the one that asked a poster what your signature meant. Don’t try and turn it around. That is a blatant misrepresentation. If you don’t want to explain your signature, then remove it. You and the rest of us know what you are insinuating with it. Why not just come out and say it?

Acting like a scolded puppy is not going to get you anywhere.

Your denomination does play into all of the discussions on here. How are we to compare our religions if we don’t know what yours is? How are we supposed to show the contrasts if we don’t know what religion you are?

As I said up above. How are we to compare or contrast our religions if we don’t know what yours is? Is it really that difficult for you to understand?
I have done nothing but talk about religion and you all have actually created the problems by bringing up irrelevant things. When will you people learn that 1 person can’t respond to 5 plus people whether it is one thread or one hundred threads?
I gave you this example on another thread, which you either ignored, or haven’t bothered to go back and read, but here it is again.
"If you start a conversation in an open forum, then that is where the discussion should take place.

It really isn’t a difficult process to understand.

Let’s look at it this way. You started a thread "Only Christ:. Correct?

Compare posting that thread here with walking into a crowded room and making the same attempt. Do you think only one person will respond? Do you think only one person should respond? Do you think that one person (whom you choose) should pull you off to the side privately to discuss it?

Seems rather illogical doesn’t it? "

No my friend, the problem clearly lies with you.

No one is demanding anything of you other than to conduct yourself in a dignified manner in accordance with forum rules.

You on the other hand start threads and try to set parameters of who you will respond to. One of your threads you said you would only respond to the first person that responded to you.

Here is a news flash for you. That isn’t how it works. You don’t get to set the rules, the forum administrators do.

If responding in an open forum is too difficult for you, or responding to more than one poster is too difficult for you, then maybe these forums aren’t for you.

This is what happens on an imperfect fallible earth when folks “know” for certain their faith is absolutely, positively, without any question 100% true. 🤷

For the record when I asked Truthseeker if he believed Catholics follow the antichrist, he refused to deny it.

While this says much for his honesty, it doesn’t say much about any other aspect of his personality.
To the OP, yes, I would say get a sheet of notebook paper and list. …Prayer couldn’t hurt…

Dear Malia Belen,
Ask God to show you the truth…and then believe it! It probably won’t be a 1 step process. He will lead you in steps, maybe some small and some large. He will lead you to books, reading material, people, and put additional questions in your mind for you to research. If you keep your mind and heart open to the Holy Spirit, He will lead you on your faith journey as He does all of us. He is so happy to do this because He loves you so much and wants you to find the answers, the grace and the fullfillment of loving God and knowing how much He loves you.
I’m so happy that you are taking this journey and seriously seeking the truth…you will find it! But remember, it is reason and faith, not just a feeling.

May God bless you!

OP-
I also think it would help if you read the book called “Four Witnesses” The Early church in her own words. Or read some Early Church Father writings. I dont know if that is something that interests you or not, but it is definitely important to me to read what Jesus’ church looked like after he was gone… what the apostles did etc.

I think it would be helpful to maybe make a list:
Baptism- do you believe infants can have it? Do you believe it can save you?
Eucharist- Real presense or symbol?
Confession- To a priest or just God?
Bible- Only authority, or along with tradition, and the church?
sacraments
salvation- how do you believe you are saved?
mary
prayer

The list could go on and on… But I think you are seeing what I’m getting at.

Not at all. 🙂

Sounds like it might be a helpful process for some people. You could try it. At the very least, it might help you better see where you are and where you’ve been.
