Finding translation

Does anybody know how to find an English translation of a 1947 French daily missal. Literally says ‘petit missel quotidien’. It was my wife’s grandmothers that she gave to my wife, but neither of us speaks French. I didn’t know if I could get an English translation.
 
Thanks, but I meant a physical English translation of the whole book. Sorry if I was not clear on that before.
 
Daily missals usually contain the Mass readings for every day. Does it look like there is something else in there besides that?

From the info that you have provided, I’d say that you will not find a translation of your particular book.
 
It’s hard for me to say, From what I can get, mind you I speak Spanish not French, the order of mass is in the back; there is a mass for the dead, for the martyrs, for the holy cross; stations of the cross; prayers; seven capitol sins; confession; vespers for Sunday. This is the best I can figure out.

It sounds like you should be able to find all those things in any language. For example, the Stations of the Cross won’t be much different in French, Spanish, or English.
 
Well I imagine that you should be looking for an English/Latin translation of the Daily Roman Missal; either the latest 1962, or St. Andrew’s Daily Missal. The St. Andrew’s Missal was printed in 1945 -so it might be closer to your grandmother’s missal, however the 1962 Roman Catholic Daily Missal includes the latest revisions of the Latin Mass- so it might be of more practical use to you. Both should contain the Stations of The Cross, a basic catechism of the Faith (seven deadly sins, Ten Commandments, precepts of the Church, etc…), and Masses for the dead, propers of the Saints, etc…

I would recommend Angelus press for a 1962 Daily missal; I find my copy excellent for use. Although Baronius Press also has great reviews for theirs.

It’s a translation of the Latin. If you compare it to a Latin-English missal, you’ll have an English translation.
