it didn’t do as well as the passion did. it actually was a good movie though. very, very violent, but i loved the ending. what a shock it would have been.

I’m assuming that since you never heard about this reported in the media that she is Jewish? Is that correct? If she were Muslim, Buddhist or something else it would’ve been nationally reported.

I saw the movie. For the life of me I can’t remember how it ends. And I did enjoy it.

they were running through the jungle. the man being chased and the two men left trying to kill him. the main character runs out of the jungle onto the shore and just stops, staring out. the two men trying to kill him run onto shore and do the same thing… stop and stare. we as the audience have no idea what they are looking at. the camera pans around and we see ships in the bay and spanish explorers landing on shore.

the name of the film literally means “unveiling” (as in… at the end of the wedding ceremony, the man and woman go into the honeymoon suite and he takes her veil off (and more than that… ) and reveals her for the first time). the end is that unveiling that their culture is not the end all be all and that it is about to change forever. great ending.

To tell the truth I dont know who Dana Jacobson is or what she actually does, nor do I know about this rivalry she commented on or about the roast that she appeared on.

I do know What ESPN is, as that is the web site that I use to get the latest updates and scores from the Premier League and I visit their site every day.

I have read reports on the actions of this person and what she has said, they were not appropiate at all especally for someone who is in media.

She should appologise for her actions (she did).

ESPN should reprimand her, as she is a representive of their company (they did).

The concerning bit is that there are cathloics that are still after her blood by demanding her sacking and threatening to boycott ESPN, even though she has appologised for what she did.

Doesnt that seem a little hypocritical to ignore your own beliefs over an offence (apparently unintended at that) of your beliefs?

Does she make a habbit of doing this and offers repeated appologies (I actually dont know if she does or not)?

Was her appology insincere and how do you know it was?

Are we the same sort of people who will riot and hurt people over a cartoon picture of our Lord like some muslims did (that is the only explaination I can think of for people bringing that up)?

Has any of us ever done anything wrong?

Have any of us ever done anythig stupid that we have (or should have) appologised for?

How about we stop rounding up the possie and forgive her for her stupid actions and move on, I dont think that one act of stupidity is reason enough to potentially destroy somebodies livelyhood.

The Jews do control the media and do not report negatively on their own, that’s just a fact. That is why I am near positive this lady is a Jew and that is why it has not been reported by any news outlets. if she were any other religion it would’ve been reported.

Also for some reason nothing negative can ever be said about a Jewish person even if it is justified or the person stating it is labeled an anti-semite, it’s a great little con, Jews can do anything, they can bomb US vessels in the Middle East, control a highly antogonistic and highly anti-Christian media that is unrelenting on its attacks with no recourse at all…

I just think your comment is all the more sadder as ESPN is owned by Disney, a company founded by an antisemite.

There seem to be 2 prevailing schools of thought here. I don’t think either is intrinsically right or wrong. I think both groups are equally entitled to their opinions.

1. Ms. Jacobson has already been punished by the network with a one week suspension. That is sufficient.
2. Ms. Jacobson’s suspension by the network is insufficient and is just a cosmetic attempt by the network to pacify.

If like me, you fall in to the 2nd group, I urge you to do something about it. If you do nothing, then for all intents and purposes your silence will automatically put you with group 1. Write to the parent company of ESPN and complain, vociferously. You can reach Disney Corporation at ‘TWDC.Corp.Communications@disney.com’ Tell them you are done sampling ALL of their products. This is the ***ONLY ***language they understand. An old mentor of mine in the secular world once told me, “Silence means agreement.” I think that holds true here. If we just complain to one another on these threads it will mean NOTHING to Disney. If you truly believe #2 above, what will ***you do ***about it??
