This thread originally asked for Catholic commentary on a near death experience. As such, it was properly placed in the Spirituality forum.

The conversation quickly turned to the proper discernment of spirits, which is another topic germane to the Spirituality forum.

Today over a million people fired the grid. Here is my experience:
For the first half hour I began sending loving energy through the form of Reiki via my hands. I thought about all the elements of nature: earth, water, air, and fire.

I held each individual element in my mind for about 7 minutes each. I had great love for all the earth and my heart center started to throb. I could almost feel the energy growing.

After about 30 minutes, great waves of love hit me. The waves pulsated through my whole body and continued to do so for about 5 minutes. I think that this was the grid beign activated and sending it’s/our energy throughout the earth. Others in my group felt the same exact thing.

I thought about all the animals and sent my love for them. Tigers, cats, dogs, snakes, turtles, every animal that I could think of. I visualized the earth being engulfed in purifying violet fire.

The last ten minutes of my meditation was spent outside. I observed nature and continued to feel great love for it. I think my heart center has truly awakened.

I am glad you were able to have such awesome expericne this AM. I had a similar experience this morning-I held Our Lord and savior in my hands and then consumed his Body. The author of all love resides in me.

😃 We all are continueing our journey to become closer to God, each in our own way!

One should come closer to God in God’s way - not our own way.
I’m assuming you mean in the way God wants us too. I know God may be against sending our love and gratitude towards the earth and help us become more in union with Him, but I choose to do this anyway. It has changed me and others for the better. I’m sorry if you do not agree with me, but that is your opinion and I’ll leave it at that.

We are suposed to appreicate what God has created. St. Francis
had much love for animals, planets…etc.

However, your logic here does not make sense:
I know God may be against sending our love and gratitude towards the earth and help us become more in union with Him, but I choose to do this anyway. .
If God is against something, how could He want you to be doing it? If, supposely, what you said is true, how could you “do this anyway” if you want to “be in union with Him” — you go against God.

😃 Sorry…I thought my sarcasm was implied. But then you can’t really tell the tone of voice via the Internet…

Why would got want us to send out love and gratitude towards the earth? Wouldnt it better to send it to the one who made it?

What you are doing smacks of worshipping Gaia

We should be thankful for everything we have. So if we are being loving and grateful towards people, then is that worshipping them as well?

And no, I thought that Gaia was a goddess of some sort in greek mythology, wasn’t it? Correct me if I’m wrong.

I don’t get how anyone could see this as evil. I know alot of people who participated as well, and all of their experiences were exetremely positive.

As long as your internet connection is good, we can still communicate. 🙂

Loving nature is a gift, and we could say that not everyone has this gift; as in your case, the love of nature has brought you closer to God. That is awesome. As you see, there are much more than nature, and there are much more things that God wants you to know. You’ll be thrilled to know what He has intended you to know.

What possible purpose is served sending a bolt of “light and love” to an inatimate object do?

Ill have to admit there was a lot of light hitting Longs Peak a few minutes ago but i think it was lighting…

Wow…I actually agree with you on this one!🙂

Yes, there is definately alot more than nature itself.

Many Blessings!
