Hi all!
I am considering joining the Catholic Church. I recently received my EMT-Basic, plan to become a EMT-P, and eventually (God willing) a Firefighter. I found out that if you miss a Sunday mass, then you are in mortal sin. In my goal to become an EMT-B, EMT-P then Firefighter, I will inevitably work Sundays. How do I have my career that will require me to work Sundays but not stay in mortal sin? Is there a way to satisfy my Sunday obligation some other time during the week? Anyone’s opinion on the matter would be much appreciated, especially Firefighters and EMS. Thanks!
