Let’s say go to confession and confess a certain sin. I am sorry for my sin, and I do not want to do it again, but I know that if I am put in a certain situation again, I will probably committ the sin again. How do you go about having a firm purpose of amendment for something like this?
 
You decide to in the future to avoid near occasions of sin–that way you don’t return to that situation!
