I am converting (as I am sure most of ya’ll know) and this will be my first “all saints day” come November 1. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what all we will be doing and what to expect? Thanks for anything that you can tell me and God bless.

The Mass will not be celebrated any differently then Sunday Mass. On All Saints’ Day we honor the Saints in Heaven (those known and unknown) and entreat their intercession. So it’s possible that everyone on this forum has a realitive that is a Saint in Heaven right now. The thing that you will notice is that the Pachal Candle aka Easter Candle will be lit that day as well as All Souls’ Day, which follows.

Nov 1 is All Saints Day for Latin Rite Catholics only.

Catholics of the Eastern Rite celebrate All Saints Day on the Sunday after Pentecost.
