First baptism

What is a good amount to give to the priest for my baby’s baptism? And do you give a church donation as well?
 
I would ask the church secretary what the standard stipend for a baptism is.

Some dioceses do NOT allow the priest to receive one.
 
I have to agree with Cluny…priests are sometimes not allowed to received such donations. It should be given in the church.
 
Give me a break! Parish priests do not take a vow of poverty and can accept gifts freely given by anyone. Tell me I am wrong and I will demand evidence.
