Are you concerned that you won’t be attending Mass?

I would think that if you attend Holy Thursday services, the Good Friday Reading of the Passion and Veneration of the Cross with Holy Communion, and the Easter Vigil it would certainly be the case that you could “count” Good Friday towards meeting a First Friday obligation. Many people think of the Triduum as one big Liturgy split over three days.

But even if you don’t attend all the Triduum liturgies I think you just have to do what you can on Good Friday. You do the best you can with private devotions.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the First Friday devotion only calls for one to communicate (receive communion) not to attend Mass.

There is no such thing as a “first Friday obligation”. It’s a private devotion.

The devotion calls for one to receive Holy Communion on nine consecutive first Fridays. Good Friday has the opportunity for you to receive communion.

To quote what was said above, receiving communion. If you want a Mass, you may attend the next 2 Fridays after that.

As this year Good Friday is also, 1st Friday, Mass is not celebrated. Why? Because there is no Mass as such. Just Good Friday devotions/communion.
