Dear Brothers and Sisters,

If you are able to participate at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and receive Holy Communion in reparation for all the sins which wound the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I urge you to do so. If you are unable, I urge you to pray and offer love for Love today to Him who has suffered so much for love of us.

For more about this devotion of First Fridays, see HERE

May the Heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time. Amen.

This also happened to be the Feast of St. Blaise. Our priest blessed our throats today after the homily. Double blessings today. 🙂

Dear Sirach,

Our parish is going to have blessings of throats after Masses on this weekend also, since many are working on Fridays and may not be able to attend Mass. (We only have one Mass on weekdays). Perhaps your parish may also have double blessings on Saturday and Sunday - Feb 4 and 5. Thanks for the reminder in case anyone forgot dear St. Blase! 🙂

I see that I am exceedingly blessed after reading your message. Only ONE mass during the week? Oh praise God that I, and others, are able to go daily. TRIPLE blessings!

Actually, dear Sirach, I expressed that poorly. I meant there is only one Mass per each weekday. By God’s grace we do have a daily Mass through the week. It is at 7:15 each weekday. On Saturdays (except for First Saturdays) there is no early Mass but only the vigil Mass for Sunday.

Yes, we are blessed in many ways, every day, as God wills. I often marvel at stories of people in other countries who walk many miles to participate in Holy Mass and some who can participate in Mass only after long intervals because of the shortage of priests. May God’s Grace sustain every child of His with all He provides. His Word forever rings true in my heart, and encourages me: “God works all things together unto good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” ( Rom 8:28)

:ouch: It was good for me to see how easy it is to misinterpret others’ words online. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂

It’s good for all of us to remember computers are only machines! I could have been clearer in writing my post, but no harm done, we both can smile and try to write and read words more carefully. Others besides yourself may have misunderstood too – so it was good to clarify. 🙂
