I know that scripture says that the “waving” of the first fruits is to be done on the day after the Sabbath but is there a scripture that says when the first fruits of the spring harvest become the first fruits?
Do you mean a particular month/day?I know that scripture says that the “waving” of the first fruits is to be done on the day after the Sabbath but is there a scripture that says when the first fruits of the spring harvest become the first fruits?
I’m not sure what you mean by “presenting Himself to the Father later on the first day”. Wasn’t the Resurrection on the first day? Why couldn’t the Resurrection itself be the “waving of the sheaf”? I guess I’m a little confused by your question.babs57,
So are you saying that the Messiah became the first fruits at the moment of resurrection and not when He presented Himself - equal to the waving of the sheaf - to the father later on the first day?
This day is also known within Judaism as the first day of the counting of the Omer. This is the manner in which even today that we count the days leading up to Pentecost. In Judaism Pentecost is known as Shavuot.Since it’s been awhile, perhaps someone new looking in will know of the answer.
